Mercedes-Benz had worked with influencers with little success; they struggled to connect their commercial vehicles to business owners.

 

90% of brands struggle to connect with business owners; in fact, according to Statistica, it's the second most challenging demographic to reach.

 

Mercedes needed a global strategy to target a niche audience. So that's exactly what we did.

OUR SOLUTION:

We devised a creator programme that incentivised business owners with large social followings to advocate for the MBV brand.

These businesses not only provide affordable reach through posting on their social channels, but they also provide a wealth of assets that can be published across owned and paid Mercedes-Benz Vans channels.

THE CHALLENGE:
 

The issue, we only had four weeks to devise an excellent campaign strategy and prepare all the content we needed to drive conversion.
 

We started by designing a campaign strategy with conversion at its heart.

 

We knew creators could act as both a production resource for paid media and a mass-awareness tool to drive conversion.

OUR SOLUTION:
 

Our strategy led us to a campaign platform called 'size matters'.

Using this platform, we helped Tortilla create paid media assets, organic social content, a website landing page, and a creator campaign in four weeks!
 

 

Our extensive creator campaign featured using 'Tiny Hands' to eat a burrito, a challenge we knew creators could enjoy.

However, it also gave us tremendous creative freedom to use ambiguous inuendos to create humour in teaser content.
 

 

We smashed our goal by nearly threefold, driving almost 34K loyalty sign-ups valued at £35 each! And, yes, thousands of people queued outside Tortilla stores on National Burrito Days.

THE CHALLENGE:
 

To compete against the largest education institutions in the UK, Arul needs to be ever present in prospective students' social media feeds through paid and organic content.
 

The BIG issue is to be ever-present, ARUL needs to produce over 3,600 pieces of individual video content. That's a lot of content.

 

They needed a way to create a LOT of authentic video content at scale, without spending seven figures on content production.

OUR SOLUTION:

We knew creators could provide a solution for ARUL. Not big-name creators, but micro-creators.

We devised an approach to turn the micro creators in their student population into full-time content creators for the university.

We created a 360 digital strategy with a student creator programme at its heart. Creative Council is an innovative approach that sees ARUL students creating ALL the content needed to meet the requirements of ARUL's social media marketing engine.

In 2021, Pretty Little Thing approached us to help them launch their journey on TikTok through creator campaigns.

THE CHALLENGE:

PLT has worked with content creators since the brand's inception. Their brand ambassador programme is well respected as an industry-leading approach to creator marketing.


In 2021, PLT realised they needed to enter the world of TikTok with long-standing relationships across all other social media platforms, PLT was lacking behind their competitors on TikTok.

OUR SOLUTION:

Working with the PLT team, we've helped them strategically understand their approach to sourcing and working with TikTok talent. Working with the PLT team we helped them establish themselves on TikTok, executing a multitude of creator deals on with some of the most prominent creators on the platform.

Working to our strategy PLT have managed to negotiate creator deals way below market rate, facilitating a higher volume of deals and reach.

We've been working with Amazon both in North America, MENA and Europe  helping them build a creator programme, devise creator campaigns and run paid media campaigns utilising creator content since 2022.

THE CHALLENGE:
 

Amazon relies on millions of sellers to service the Everything store; however, increasingly, they were seeing content that promoted get-rich-quick schemes and misinformation.
 

We've all been on TikTok or YouTube and been told by an influencer that by simply buying their online course, we, too, could be making $1M dollars a day.

 

Amazon needed a way to amplify the voices of sellers providing useful information and not selling false narratives.

OUR SOLUTION:

Working with the Amazon North America team, we helped develop 'Amazon Educators, ' a creator programme that amplifies the voices of trusted Amazon experts.

Now a global creator programme, Amazon Educators recruits and highlights creators that prospective Amazon sellers should be listening to!

Our educators are taking back control of social channels and helping would-be sellers gain the accurate information they need to be successful.

We've been working with NordVPN since 2021 on all things creator campaigns, devising ways to find and source affordable creators.

THE CHALLENGE:

NordVPN needed to evolve its creator strategy; their high-frequency approach had delivered results for years; however, in 2022, they began seeing ROI decline.

With costs ever increasing on YouTube and competition to work with the leading creators growing, NordVPN saw their returns decline and costs rise.

They didn't want to halt working with creators; they just needed an initiative approach to deliver the returns of yesteryear.

 

OUR SOLUTION:

We evaluated current data on YouTube costs and historical ROI data from NordVPN.

With a direct correlation between views and conversions, we needed a way to gain more views for a lower cost. We identified cultural news events that led to increased views on YouTube, mapping these events to prominent creators. When a significant event occurs, the HYDP team contact relevant creators who are likely to publish content on the topic.

While the creators' prices remain the same, the volume of views they receive during these periods rises. e.g. When an NFL player is the recipient of a nasty injury, we target medical channels on YouTube. The prominence of the story in popular culture results in a substantial increase in views on the video
